A new work I made in 2015. Had that background part and that ” stereo-head ” waiting for some time ( actually, some years ) , and exactly knew where I wanted to go with this collage. It was only a matter of getting all the right pieces together, and when I got in the flow this year and found all the pieces I needed I finished it. Must admit I’m pretty pleased with the title too.
It’s a funny thing that father-son-relationship.
Had some serious trouble in mine… ( of course I know now that was a mutual thing ). Finally, a couple of years after he passed away , I’m very proud to present you the collage I made for him.

Well, this collage suddenly came out of nowhere while I was making another one. I was looking for 1 or 2 more pictures for the other collage when I kinda stumbled upon these butterfly-pictures and because I had that butterfly-background waiting I had to make this one.

Another one in the serie where I used lp-covers. Actually this is a little serie ‘ in the serie ‘ cause I already finished ‘Oog-Muziek Nr 2 and am still working on number 3. It ‘s sometimes very hard to cover up everything that you don’t need and still create and express what you want to .

Currently I made a serie of collage’s, all of them on real lp covers. This is one of them, the only thing still visible from the original cover is the jukebox and that was the challenge in this serie, to use only what i want from the original and then built everything else around it.

Making portraits is a lot of fun. Putting people in a strange environment can cause confusion. In this collage that features famous Dutch actor Rutger Hauer I wanted to place the person in an abstract urban background.

The famous old painters painted their still-life’s and I create and carefully put together my still-life’s. Here I wanted to place the assembled turntable-earphone in a surrealistic environment.

Just like musicians can sometimes play a cover I also like to do that sometimes with my collage’s. Here I used material by M.C Escher that i took out of these very famous yellow books containing Escher material to cut out and glue together to create all these wonderful objects. In this collage I did that with the utmost possible love and respect for mr Escher because he’s one of my all time favorite artists.

Just a playful little ‘still-life’ where the band and the composition of the background are important. The band is complete because the white figure hanging on the cross is mr John Bonham.

This collage is made on a real record sleeve and will be the ‘soundtrack’ to my exhibition. It will probably be available as a limited, signed and numbered canvas-print in a while. Here I tried to balance my lateral way of thinking ( for a while ) by creating a fixed structure in a sytemathic way. It’s very medative to cut out lots and lots of the same sized sqares…….not to mention after that glueing them all together. Actually this collage is called ‘ Muziekmosaiek nr 1 ‘ and I also made a nr 2 and a nr 3.

This work is a current favorite of mine. I had the three guys on their bikes sitting in my cupboard for lots and lots of years, waiting to be put in a big and beautiful and strange piece. Again the combination of black&white and colour is used.
